LEADS have 248 paid staffs (Part time and Full Time) and consultants and more than 400 volunteers to facilitate the programmes at different levels like State, District, Block and Field. Out of the 248 paid staffs, almost 80 have different professional backgrounds or higher education. LEADS also has external dignified resource pool, from different sectors like Media, University, Professional Institutions, CSOs, Individual Activists etc. LEADS TEAM has various expertise on Education, Child Rights, Livelihood programme, Budget tracking in context of Jharkhand, Panchayati Raj Institutions and Gram Sabha, Women Rights / Women Emancipation, Agriculture / Horticulture, Health, CBOs like SHG, Bal Sansad, School Management Committee (SMC), Farmers Clubs, etc. The organization can also facilitate National and International events on different issues.
|A.K. Singh (Director)
After the inception of LIFE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT, Mr. A K Singh has held the position of Director. Mr. Singh had completed his PGDRD from Xavier Institute of Social Study, Ranchi in 1994 and since then he has been in the field of social sector. He holds the expertise in various thematic concerns such as Right To Education Act, Right To Information, Livelihood, Women Empowerment, State Budget Planning and other social issues. Mr. Singh’s contribution has been phenomenal in the State planning in the implementation of RTE Act 2009. He is the Convener of Jharkhand Right To Education Forum (JRTEF) in Jharkhand. He is also the National convener of Wada Na Todo Abhiyaan (WNTA) and has contributed immensely in this field.
|Nirjharini Rath (Sr. Manager, HR; Manager of Advocacy & Research)
With an experience of 18 years in this sector, Ms. Nirjharini Rath holds the position of Sr. Manager in Human Resource & Advocacy at the State level in LEADS since 2013. She had completed her LLB and Masters in Human Resource from Bhubneshwar.
|Mahendra Kumar (Sr. Program Manager, Program)
Mr. Mahendra Kumar has been working in LEADS since its inception. He had completed his PGDRD from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi in 1994. He has a prior experience of more than 22 years in the sector. Mr. Kumar possess knowledge in key areas of management, from setting and implementing strategies to marketing and fundraising. His core focused area is to lead a success implementation, meeting timelines and budget requirements for the implementation of program. Besides that, Mr. Kumar coordinates and prioritizes project tasks, manages timelines, maintains project plans and communicates status to clients, project sponsors and senior management.
|Bhawanand Jha (Finance Manager)
Mr. Bhawanand Jha has been working in LEADS since 2013 as Finance Manager. He has completed his Masters in Commerce and also pursued his LLB from Ranchi University. Mr. Jha has more than 17 years of working experience in the sector as a finance person. Currently he looks after the portion of Funds Management, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Audit and shares it to board of trustees and the project implementing team in regular intervals.
|Rakesh Kumar Choudhary (Finance Officer)
Mr. Rakesh Kumar Choudhary has been working in LEADS from 2009. He has more than 10 years of working experience in accounting & finance. He has completed his MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. Presently he looks after accounts related work like as; making payments and receipts as necessary for the business and recording them in accounting software (Tally) in a timely manner, ensures that outlined procedures in the Finance Policy are adhered to while making any payments (or) receiving funds, makes necessary journal entries as appropriate for proper accounting as per standard procedures, manages bank accounts and ensures that necessary documents are maintained for any transactions that are accounted in the software.
|Ajay Kumar Sinha (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Ajay Kumar Sinha has been working in LEADS from 2014. He has completed his Masters in Arts and Masters in Rural Development from IGNOU. He has more than 15 years of work experience in the field of Education, Livelihood, Women Empowerment, SHGs and Health. At present he is working as a Project Coordinator in Cluster Facilitation Team (CFT) and handling a human resource of more than 35 project staffs. Mr. Sinha is responsible in overall process under MGNREGA starting from selection of plan to its implementation covering three blocks of West Sighbhum, Latehar & Khunti. He is closely woking with line departments at Block, District and State level.
|Ashutosh Jaiswal (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Ashutosh Jaiswal is working in LEADS from 2013. He had completed his Post Graduation from Utkal University, Orrisa. Mr. Jaiswal with its extensive coordination in the field of social development has experience of around 10 years. He has worked in the areas of Health & Nutrition, RTE Act 2009, Reasearch, Child Counselling and School Development Plan. At present he is working in LEADS as a Project Coordinator and is responsible for strengthening the School Management Committee, formulatuion of School Development Plan, Orientation cum training of stakeholders at different level like Block, District & State. His area of intervention is in government schools of Bandgaon Block of West Singhbhum District.
|Atul Leo Bara (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Atul Leo Bara has been looking after (Community Engagement for Sustainable Livelihood and Financial Inclusion of Ultra Poor) Trickle Up from past one year in LEADS. His core competency lies in communication and situational base to handle works in a better way, applying critical thinking to find innovative ways of work and apply the knowledge of human behavior and social environment. At present, Trickle Up is working in two districts of Jharkhand, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh. The project places the people at the centre of their developmental interventions, so that they can gain livelihood skills and finance literacy, a safe place to save and access credit and continuous coaching.
|Ranjit Bhengra (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Ranjit Bhengra has been part of the LEADS family from the last 4 years. He has completed his MARD from IGNOU and TTC from St. Colombus, Delhi. He has more than 9 years experience in working in the field of Education, Livelihood, SHGs and Sanitation. At present he is working as a NRM Specialist & Project Coordinator with LEADS and he is responsible for promoting sustainable livelihood sources for the SGHs through Micro Credit Livelihood Plan, Financial Linkages, Natural Farming and Live Stock Rearing, etc. and ‘MGNREGA-NRLM Convergence CFT Strategy’ programme.
|Samish Kumar (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Samish Kumar is working in LEADS from last one year. He holds an Masters degree in Business Management and also completed his MARD from IGNOU. He is looking after a project primarly focused on ensuring proper facility of Water, Sanitation & Hygien in targeted schools of Ramgarh District. His prior experience is more than 6 years in this sector and his core competency lies in WASH, RTE Act 2009 and Retail Marketing.
|Vikash Singh (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Vikash Singh has more than 3 years experience in the relevant field of Water, Sanitation and Hygine, Right to Education and Right to Information. He has completed his PGDRD from Xavier Institute of Social Service. He has been with LEADS since 2 years and is working as a Project Coordinator of a ‘Good Governance’ project focused on Improving quality, coverage and access to information regarding pubic services in education, health & nutrition and rural employment in Torpa block of Khunti District in Jharkhand.
|Mahendra Kumar (Project Coordinator)
Mr. Mahendra Kumar is working with LEADS from past the two and half years. He has completed his MARD from IGNOU. He has interest in experience in working with people at grass-root level on issues like Livelihood, Health, Multimedia, etc. Currently Mr. Mahendra is designated as Project Coordinator of Rural Empowerment for Entitlement Realisation (REER). The project aims at developing model villages in 5 Districts on holistic development of marginalized group with better advocacy inputs in the State. The programme constitutes an integrated approach to all issues prevalent in the community and aims at linking the community i.e. the SMC members, Gram Sabha members, SHG members, etc. with the Government schemes through different motivating and awareness generation activities.
